Mobile Library service - join the survey!
There are plans for the West Berkshire Mobile Library to visit Beech Hill every three weeks, and for it to be located in the Memorial Hall. There are three possible times available: Monday lunch-time, Friday morning, Friday afternoon.
In order to guage potential usage and to determine the preferred date and time for the library visits a survey has been created using 'Survey Monkey' a web-base survey management system.
Please take two minutes to complete the survey so that we can best meet the need.
You can find the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/G9TWK9G
Printed copies of the survey form will be available from the shop, however, please use the website if at all possible. In any case DO NOT complete both the printed and web forms.
Burns Night - Cancelled
If you are reading this then you probably take an interest in village events. The Burns night dinner and Scottish dancing is cancelled for a number of reasons. It does however throw up the debate that is needed in the village about supporting initiatives that are promoted or lose them from being organised for lack of interest. It may be that knowledge of events is not widely known but the village notice boards and this web site and the village web site and the shop notice board are kept well uptodate. In addition we have brought back the blackboard outside the hall that people said was useful to see what the next event is. Feedback most welcome via this site, the village site, the shop etc. It's the old adage - 'use it or lose it'.
Will and the Hall
All the Hall Trustees continue to think about the continued progress of our friend Will and his familiy. It is good to see more of Will in Beech Hill with Rosie at home and in the church. Let's all help Will and Rosie get the extension at his home that he needs and will allow him to come back to live at Beech Hill.
